  6. Gallery, but somehow she doesn't look right. Now 89, Britain's most
  7. beloved granny posed for the likeness in five one-hour sessions,
  8. but it seems a bit dour, like a landlady who's not too friendly
  9. when the rent's got behind. Scottish artist ALISON WATT, 23, wanted
  10. to show the Queen Mum's strong personality, not create a
  11. chocolate-box version of her: there's no tiara, not even a hat.
  12. Maybe people will be surprised and won't like it, Watt says, but
  13. "I wasn't prepared to paint a Polaroid snap of her." The Queen Mum
  14. reportedly approves.
